On Board with MV Logos Hope

If you are familiar with the ship MV Doulos, the biggest floating library in the world where there were  between 3000 to 5000 books on the shelves and half a million in the hold that made her last world tour in 2009, then obviously you know what MV Logos Hope is.

Remembering our visit to MV Logos Hope in Subic.
Posing with me from left: Sherie Lynn Asistio, Ms. Cathy Crispo & Marivie Laxamana.
Twice as big as any previous ship operated by the German Christian charitable organization GBA Ships e.V (Gute Bücher für Alle, English: Good Books for All), MV Logos hope designed to replace MV Doulos which was retired and now sits on a rock shelf at the Chilean coast.

It is in March of 2012 when MV Logos Hope first docked in Subic Bay, Philippines carrying about 5000 books to showcase for Filipinos. We decided a trip on board and checked what's in it and so we could have it photo taken personally from our camera.

Me and my workmates pose in front of the US ship that docked beside the MV Logos Hope at the Alava Pier, Subic Bay.
Luckily, I got my friends and workmates company that make the tour more fun. We all love taking pictures and be taken too!!!

Can we just call that ship as 199? hehehe... I was entertained by the nice view of the water from here (actually its because this is I think my 1st time to be here).

We never care of how those people walking towards MV Logos Hope think when we had this picture taken... we just enjoying the moment and the opportunity to be shoot by our hobbyist workmate. :)

Just feeling the breeze... doing these cool things with them makes me realize how GOD works in simple ways. He always make us feel his presence. Living the life we want is something not to wish for. It's something we should plan and work for. This trip is actually a very practical and cost-effective way to a stress-free life.

I plan to do the same things often. :)

This is all ME in Ms. Cathy's dark shades and my personalized shirt from Artifact clothing.

When you board the ship, there will be a 5-minute orientation...

We sit on a red long chair for a short orientation.
....and a channel of many BIG chain of posters that shows the story of the prodigal son. Another spot where you can have lot's of memorable pictures with your friends. hehehe.

So let's get there... Inside the ship are books from all over the world. There are cooking, Painting, General knowledge, Philosophy, Math, Science, Marketing, Fiction, Religion, Business books, etc. Too much to mention... You will never feel your inside the ship... because it's like a BIG ROOM full of interesting BOOKS!!!!

Where there are books, there will also be tables and chairs... What for? to eat and again, have a picture taking!!! :) There is canteen there where you can buy candies, bread, cookies, some juices, shakes and ICE CREAM!...

We met few friends and get to know how's life with the MV Logos Hope and how these volunteering helps them to grow and develop as a person.

They became missionaries and they are happy. They travel for free and meet people around the world. And that's their life... a purposeful life.

We saw a board full of sticky notes. I love reading every bit of paper there. it's a drive to stop HIV. What do you think?

And that's all. We go downstairs bring these amazing experience with the MV Logos Hope and their missionaries crew.

That's all for now. Let's wait for the ships next visit to the Philippines!!! Don't forget to buy books as its proceeds help the missionaries make their mission accomplished.
